About TachiTrade
Who is behind TachiTrade?
TachiTrade is run by TachiTeam, based in Vietnam. We build free calculators and MetaTrader utilities for forex, gold and prop firm traders. You can read more on the About page and reach us through the Contact page.
Are the tools really free?
Yes. Every calculator is free and none needs an account. We earn money from our own MQL5 products and from affiliate links, and we label both where they appear. See the Affiliate Disclosure.
Do I need to sign up or give an email?
No. You can open any tool and use it straight away.
Do you give trade signals or advice?
The calculators do not, and nothing on this site is financial advice. One of our MQL5 products, M1 GoldSniper Pro, is a signal indicator. It is listed with its limits on the Indicators page.
How do I report a mistake or suggest a tool?
Send a note through the Contact page, by email to tachiteam@gmail.com, or on Telegram at @tachiteam. A clear description of the input you used and the result you expected helps us fix things faster.
Using the calculators
How accurate are the results?
They are as accurate as the numbers you enter and the model behind them. Brokers differ in contract size, pip definition, margin rules and swap, so check your symbol’s specification in your platform. Our Methodology page explains the formulas and their limits.
Why do my numbers differ from my broker’s platform?
The usual causes are a different contract size, a different pip definition, rounding to your broker’s lot step, spread and commission, and account currency conversion. Match those first, then compare again.
Is my data stored or sent anywhere?
The calculations run in your browser. The Trading Journal keeps its entries in your browser’s local storage on your own device, so clearing site data removes them. Our Privacy Policy explains cookies and analytics.
Do the tools work on a phone?
Yes. We build and check every page at phone widths as well as on desktop.
Can I use the tools for stocks, crypto or futures?
They are built for forex, gold and similar CFD-style contracts of the kind MetaTrader shows. Other markets use different contract and margin rules, so treat any figure with care and check it against your own platform.
Where can I find all the calculators?
In the tools hub, grouped by gold, risk and position, market utilities and prop firm.
Trading basics
How do I calculate my lot size?
Divide the amount you are willing to lose by the cost of your stop for one lot. That cost is the stop distance multiplied by the value of one price unit per lot. Then round down to your broker’s lot step. The Position Size Calculator does it for you.
What is risk to reward, and what win rate do I need?
Risk to reward compares what you aim to make with what you risk. The break-even win rate is 1 divided by (1 plus the ratio). At 1:1 that is 50 percent, and at 1:2 it is 33.3 percent, before costs. The Risk/Reward Calculator includes the effect of spread.
What is expectancy?
It is the average result per trade, usually measured in units of your risk. A positive number means the plan made money on average over the sample you tested. See the Expectancy Calculator.
What is risk of ruin?
It is the chance that a plan hits a loss limit you define, within a number of trades. It depends on win rate, payoff and how much you risk per trade. Try the Risk of Ruin Calculator.
How much do I need to gain to recover from a loss?
The gain needed equals the loss divided by what is left. A 20 percent loss needs a 25 percent gain, and a 50 percent loss needs 100 percent. The Drawdown Recovery Calculator shows the table.
What is swap?
A charge or credit for holding a position past the broker’s daily rollover. The amount is set by your broker and differs by symbol and direction. The Swap and Rollover Calculator turns your broker’s figure into a cost.
Gold (XAUUSD)
How much is one pip in gold?
It depends on who you ask. Some brokers call 0.01 a pip, others 0.10, and some quote points or ticks instead. Read your symbol specification, then use the XAUUSD pip, point and tick calculator to turn it into dollars.
What is the contract size of XAUUSD?
Many brokers use 100 troy ounces per 1.00 lot, but it varies. The contract size in your platform’s symbol specification is the figure that counts.
How do I size a gold trade?
Work from the stop distance in dollars. If you risk $100 with a $5.00 stop on a 100 oz contract, the size is 0.20 lot. The XAUUSD Lot Size Calculator lets you set the contract size your broker uses.
Why does gold use so much margin?
Margin is lots times contract size times price, divided by leverage. At an example price of $2,400, 1.00 lot on a 100 oz contract at 1:100 needs $2,400. Your broker’s own margin rules can differ.
Prop firm accounts
Are your prop firm tools official?
No. They are independent tools, and they are not made or endorsed by The5ers or any other firm. We build them from public rule pages, and the firm’s own rules always win.
Which prop firms do the tools cover?
Today the prop firm tools cover The5ers. Rules differ between firms and change often, so each page states the rules it uses. The general tools work with any account. See the Prop firm hub.
What is the difference between daily loss and max loss?
The daily limit resets each day and sits a set distance under where your day began. The max loss limit is a floor under the whole account, and on some plans it stays fixed while on others it trails your highs. Check which your plan uses.
Will these tools help me pass a challenge?
They help you size trades and see your limits. No tool can promise a pass or a funded account. Your plan and your discipline decide that.
Do you earn money if I buy a challenge through your link?
Yes. We are a The5ers affiliate and may earn a commission if you buy through our link. It changes nothing in our tools. Read the Affiliate Disclosure.
Can I use trade managers or EAs on a prop account?
It depends on the firm and the plan. Some restrict automation or copy tools. Read that firm’s rules before you attach anything to a challenge account.
Our MQL5 products
Where can I buy your products?
On the MQL5 Market. The Indicators page lists each product with its limits and links to its MQL5 page.
Which platforms do they support?
All seven run on MetaTrader 5. Lot Architect, Trail Architect and M1 GoldSniper Pro also have MetaTrader 4 versions.
Do any of them open trades automatically?
None is an automated robot that opens trades by itself. Lot Architect places an order when you click, the management and protection tools act on positions you already have, and M1 GoldSniper Pro draws arrows.
Do you guarantee profits?
No. Our products are tools, not promises. Past performance does not guarantee future results, and trading carries a risk of loss. Read the Risk Disclaimer.
How do I get support for a product?
Message us through MQL5 or use the Contact page. Mention the product and your platform so we can help faster.
